Maruti Suzuki posts 14.73 sales growth for January'11
Maruti Suzuki India is all set to cement its position and dominate the domestic auto sector for 2011 also. The first month of 2011 and the Indian auto giants has scored already well by climbing to 14.73 per cent in sales. Maruti in January sold 1,09,743 car models. When compared with the sales of January 2010 the Indian prodigy sold 95,649 car models.

Maruti Suzuki India in January 2011 sold 1,00,422 car models on the Indian shores which is a considerable increase from the last years same time sales of 81,087 car models.
However, the company has to concentrate on its overseas market as a deep slush of 35.99 per cent has been observed as in January 2010 the company sold 14,562 car models and for the same time this year it sold 9,321 car models.
In January, 2011 Maruti 800 which was once the flagship model of company registered a decline of 24.77 per cent by selling 1,876 car models over January, 2010 sales of 2,494 per cent.
The relief for the auto giants came in the A2 segment which is the strong hold auto market for the Indian auto company accounted a sales leap of 23.81 per cent. This segment comprises of Maruti Alto the flagship model, Maruti Estilo, Maruti Swift, Maruti A-Star and Maruti Ritz and sold 72,479 car models of the same in January 2011, for the same time in 2010 the auto company sold 58,549 car models in this segment.
Maruti also witnessed a hike of 32.6 per cent by selling 11,930 car models of Maruti SX4 and Maruti Swift Dzire which comes under the A3 segment. For the last year same time MSI sold 8,995 car models of the same.
Maruti achieved record sales of more than ten lakh cars from April to January for this financial year by rolling out 10,37,408 car units against the same time last year it sold 8,26,592 car models. This incredible mark has lead its sales figure reach up to 25.5 per cent increase on its sales graph.
