    July 2025 was a mixed bag for some of the top carmakers in the Indian market in terms of sales performance. Maruti Suzuki, as usual, held its ground while Mahindra continued its strong run on the back of popular SUVs. Let's take a closer look at the detailed brand-wise sales report of each of the top 10 carmakers on the list for July 2025:

    Maruti Wagon R

    • With nearly 1.38 lakh units dispatched, Maruti took the top spot in July 2025 sales chart of the top 10 carmakers. While it saw a marginal growth in its YoY sales numbers, it registered close to 16 percent of month-on-month (MoM) growth.

    Mahindra Thar Roxx

    • Mahindra, with almost 50,000 unit sales, ranked as the second best-selling car brand in July 2025. Its MoM figure grew by over five percent, while its YoY increased by nearly 20 percent.

    Hyundai Creta

    • One of the two brands to witness a dip in its MoM figure was Hyundai. It dispatched almost 44,000 units in July 2025. Hyundai’s YoY sales also slipped by nearly 10.5 percent.

    Tata Harrier EV

    • Close on the heels of Hyundai was Tata Motors with total sales nearing 40,000 units. Although its MoM figure increased by more than 6.5 percent, its YoY number reduced by over 11.5 percent.

    Kia Syros

    • The only other carmakers whose total sales in July managed to cross the 20,000-unit mark were Toyota and Kia. Of the two, it was only Kia that witnessed a positive momentum in both MoM and YoY figures.

    MG Windsor EV

    • MG retailed close to 6,700 units in July 2025, which was almost 15 percent more compared to June 2025, and over 46 percent extra compared to July 2024.

    Skoda Slavia

    • With a YoY growth of more than 164 percent, Skoda registered cumulative sales of over 5,500 units in July 2025. Even its MoM figure went up by nearly 11 percent.

    Honda Amaze

    • Honda and Volkswagen were the only other carmakers to not cross the 5,000-unit sales mark in July 2025. While Honda registered a dip in both MoM and YoY numbers of over 12 percent each, the German marque managed to have an uptick in MoM figure by 4 percent.
