Maruti Ritz Diesel Facelift Launched at Rs. 5.31 Lakh
Maruti is all set back to hit the Indian market after the ruckus caused at the Manesar factory. And to mark a new beginning they launched the long due and awaited Maruti Suzuki Ritz Diesel refreshed version that was launched at a price of Rs. 5.31 lakh today at Mumbai. The company also introduced the all new top-end, ZDi version at Rs. 6.23 Lakh.
The high-point of the new Ritz is the 10% improvement in fuel efficiency which has resulted to an efficiency of 23.2kmpl (Certified fuel efficiency as per CMVR Rule 115) from a 21.1kmpl, which has been achieved by numerous initiatives by the Company’s engineers. These include use of reduced friction by using low viscosity Engine Oil.
In total, there will be 52 changes that which includes new front design, dual tone interiors, new ZDi variant, multi-information display on instrument panel, body moldings etc. The three new colors- Mystique Red, Granite Grey and Breeze Blue have been added to the prevailing colors- Superior White, Silky Silver and Bakers Chocolate. The interiors will now see a more comfortable rear seating with improved lumbar support. The ZDi will be introduced with air-bags, alloy wheels and also steering audio controls.
The new body colors will come with choice of interior color scheme as well; Red/Grey (Chromatic) and Dark Grey/Light Grey (Conservative).
The new Ritz diesel will also be powered by the celebrated 1248cc DDiS engine which is capable to delivering a torque of 190Nm at 2000rpm and a power of 73.9bhp at 4000rpm. Commenting on the introduction, Manohar Bhat, Vice President (Marketing) Maruti Suzuki India said that it the new Ritz is more fuel efficient with enhanced driving comforts. He also added that Maruti was pleased and that it was heartening to see a fairly young brand crossing 2 Lakh sales mark in just 37 months.
