Maruti R3 MUV,more details revealed

According to the recent speculations in the Indian Auto Market, India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India is now adding a new car to the line up of Maruti cars in India by manufacturing a new MUV. This new MUV is supposed to be launched by the end of this year and the company is working hard to launch this model on its proposed date. Recently more information have been revealed on the all new Maruti R3 MPV. This new 7-seater MPV has stretched wheelbase of 2740mm which is 380mm more than that of the Ritz, the company has also added an additional overhang.

The length of the all new Maruti R3 is 4265 mm which is more than the critical four meter length and will surely not be able to qualify the small-car excise cut.

This new car incorporates a 1372cc K14 petrol engine which produces a decent of 95bhp and 13kgm of torque. There is also a possibility of having Fiat-designed, VGT-equipped 89bhp DDiS motor from the Maruti SX4.

This 7 seater car with the seating arrangement of 2+3+2 is expected to have the same interiors as that of new 2011 Maruti Swift. The exterior look of the car resembles Maruti SX4. Talking about the rear side of the car we can easily say that the car has no similarity with the R3 concept of the company.

This new Maruti R3 would give a strong competition to Mahindra Xylo which is currently the most popular MPV's in India.

Maruti India has not yet revealed much information regarding this car but have created a buzz in the Indian Auto market by announcing the launch of this new MPV by the end of this year. Where other major car manufacturers are ready to launch their cars in the market, they will surely get a tough competition from this car.
