Mahindra to Launch SsangYong Korando SUV in India
India's leading utility vehicle maker, Mahindra & Mahindra that launched the premium SUV Rexton in India in October 2012, from the stables of its South Korean company SsangYong, has been reportedly studying the market to launch the yet another SsangYong SUV, Korando in India. After seeing the initial success of the Rexton, the company is now looking for an appropriate time to launch the Korando SUV.

The company had already showcased the Korando along with Rexton for the first time in India at the Indian auto expo 2012, and ever since its unveiling at the event, the company is looking for the right time to roll out the vehicle.
"We are working on the products. We studied market for both Korando and Rexton and decided that Rexton has a place in Indian market at present so that was given the first priority," Said Mahindra & Mahindra Chief Executive- Automotive Sector PN Shah at the launch of the Rexton in Kolkata.
Although about the launch timing of the Korando, he further said, "We have not shelved our plan to launch Korando in India. We are just looking for the right opportunity."
