Ssangyong Motor Company is the fourth largest South Korea based automobile manufacturer. The name SsangYong means double dragons. It collaborates with India's largest SUV maker Manhindra and Mahindra and it had first introduced the Ssangyong Rexton model in the country in 2012. The company has now announced the launch of one more sports utility vehicle in the car market, which will christened as Korando. It is expected to be come with the same diesel engine, which is available in the European market. Apart from the engine, this yet to be launched vehicle is expected to be incorporated with the same features, which are available in other global markets. Its exterior looks quite attractive with a lot of striking features that gives the vehicle a captivating look on the roads. The front fascia of this SUV is designed with a signature radiator grille, which has a prominent company insignia in the center. This grille is flanked by a well lit headlight cluster that is incorporated with high intensity halogen lamps and side turn indicator. Apart from these, it also has a body colored bumper, a wide air dam, a couple of fog lamps, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, a pair of roof rails and many other such aspects.
On the other hand, the company has designed the internal section with a dual tone color scheme and incorporated with a number of features. Its dashboard is quite smooth and equipped with a few features like chrome accentuated AC vents, a large glove box with cooling effect and an advanced instrument panel, which has a lot of warning and notifications. This Mahindra Ssangyong Korando model series is quite intimidating owing to its masculine body structure. The rear windscreen has an unusual design, which is accompanied by a defogger along with wiper. It also has a roof spoiler, which is incorporated with LED third brake light, which provides additional protection. The company has embedded variant badging, thick chrome strip and a license plate console on the large tail gate. The body colored bumper is quite sleek, which it is fitted with a black cladding for preventing it from damages and it also has a pair of chrome plated exhaust pipes. The bumper houses a pair of reflectors along with an additional brake light. Its side profile inherits the iconic classy design with precisely molded wheel arches and window lining. Its A and B pillars have been garnished in high gloss black, whereas window sill in chrome finish. The door handles along with ORVM (outside rear view mirrors) and fenders have been treated in body color, whereas the lower cladding gets a black finish. The wheel arches are expected to be fitted with a classy set of stylish 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels, depending on the variants. These rims are further covered with high performance tubeless radial tyres, which will offers a superior grip on any road conditions.

It is expected to be designed with an overall length of 4410mm along with a total width of 1830mm, which includes both external rear view mirrors. The overall height of this vehicle is about 1675mm. Its minimum ground clearance is quite decent, which is quite good for dealing with any terrains. Its large wheelbase measures about 2650mm, which ensures a spacious cabin inside. Its steering wheel supports a minimum turning radius of 5.4 meters.

This yet to be launched SUV has been equipped with a proficient automatic air conditioning system featuring air quality control and heater. It also has rear AC vents, which keeps the ambiance pleasant by regulating the air temperature. It is blessed with surround camera system along with rear view camera, which helps in easier parking. It also has front and rear parking aid along with parallel and perpendicular park assist for additional safety. This vehicle is also furnished with electrically adjustable front seats with memory settings along with split folding rear seats that adds to the convenience. It has an advanced cruise control system, which maintains a steady speed as set by the driver. It also has lane departure warning, blind spot monitor with closing vehicle sensing and reverse traffic detection system. It is bestowed with an advanced sound system, which also has Bluetooth connectivity for pairing the mobile phones.
