Mahindra & Mahindra to Launch Three New Vehicles by 2015

India’s leading Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) maker, Mahindra & Mahindra that launched the Quanto and the facelift version of its flagship sedan Verito in the last quarter of 2012, is now planning to launch three completely new products in the next three years to increase its market share. However the company didn’t name the products, as per our knowledge, there will be a new Mahindra Scorpio, a sub 4-metre Verito compact Sedan and possibly a compact SUV to be positioned even below the newly launched Quanto.

“We have had two major launches in the last 18 months. Next 12 months will not see new launches but at least four refreshes of the existing products. We are working on three new products, which will hit the market from fiscal 2015. So next three years we have significant offerings,” said Pawan Goenka, president - automotive and farm equipment sectors for M&M.

Despite the downfall in the passenger vehicle segment in the year 2012, Mahindra & Mahindra managed to recorded an impressive growth on account of its SUV line-up, which is rising at a high pace in India. Mahindra & Mahindra’s tractor division is also planning to launch a new tractor in the next fiscal year to increase its profits in the business, which saw a downfall in the quarter ending in December 2012.
