Mahindra Announces Highest Ever FY Sales of Scorpio - 51,553 Units in FY15

Mahindra Mahindra has announced that Scorpio has crossed 50,000 units milestone in a financial year for the 4th consecutive time. And indeed it was the highest ever annual sales number, MM says they have retailed 51,553 units in FY15. While in the launch month of the new Scorpio, it also recorded highest ever monthly sales since its inception, having sold 6,060 units!

Speaking on the milestone, Pravin Shah, President Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra Mahindra Ltd., said, “This is a very proud moment for us, as the iconic and trend-setting Scorpio has achieved yet another milestone. This achievement reaffirms the brand’s popularity as well as the confidence consumers have reposed in us. Today, the Scorpio is one of the most admired and awarded brands within the Indian automobile industry. With the launch of the New Generation Scorpio, we have further shifted the orbit and scripted a success story like no other”.

Speaking of the Scorpio’s global presence, the SUV has a good presence in South Africa and Chile and is also present in developed markets such as Italy, Spain, and Australia. Over the last decade, the Scorpio range of SUVs and Pick Ups has been creating a mark in over 40 countries across SAARC, Africa, Latin America and the ASEAN region. The brand has recently been introduced in markets such as Tunisia, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia. Moreover, MM has recently ditched the black cladding from the Scorpio’s rear on hearing customer feedbacks.
