Lamborghini India to Lure Cutomers with 'Track Day' at Buddh Circuit

Lamborghini is eyeing to cash in from the Formula One Race track i.e. the Buddh international circuit in the NCR region. The Volkswagen owned sports carmaker is planning to lure some of its prospective car buyers by offering them a test-drive of their dream wheels. The test drive offer from Lamborghini includes a Test drive for about 10-15 prospective customers and to test drive their dream wheels for more than 45 minutes at the 5.14 km long race track at the Buddh Circuit. The company choose to call this day the ‘Track Day’. Lamborghini has tested and tried this scheme across the globe and has managed to capture sales; the company hopes to create the same effect here in India by organizing a ‘Track Day’ in India once a year.

Lamborghini India to Lure Cutomers with 'Track Day' at Buddh Circuit

When you see a car you have an idea, but when you get to drive it, it’s an entirely different experience. There is a factor of freeness and gush of speed you feel when you drive these cars. Lamborghini plans to evoke these emotions in the people who are going to be there in the Buddh circuit. This new marketing strategy is being undertaken by Lamborghini India under Mr.Pavan Shetty Head of operations of National Sales Company, a recently added division. The elite luxury sports carmaker like Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Lamborghini are not able to grab sales in India; the reason is cited with the poor road infrastructure. The total sales of sportscar in the year 2011 is merely 100 units  out of which Lamborghini’s share was 14. Lamborghini has sold about 342 units in China with the global sales of 2,000 units in 2011.
