There is a new Jeep Wrangler in town! Ladies and gentlemen, meet the new Jeep Wrangler Willys ‘41 Special Edition, which has been launched on our shores at Rs 73.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the top-spec Rubicon variant, this variant is inspired by the original 1941 Willys Jeep and gets bespoke cosmetic and feature updates. If you had your eyes on one, we would advise you to be quick, as it will be limited to just 30 units. 

The new special edition Jeep Wrangler commands a premium of Rs 1.59 lakh over the Rubicon. Here’s a look at the prices:

What Are The Updates? 

For starters, you can spec up the Jeep Wrangler Willys ‘41 Special Edition in this good-looking “41 Green” paint, which is exclusive to this edition. You can also get in other colours if you don’t like this hue. There is also a bold “1941” decal on the hood to denote that you are driving this special edition Wrangler. 

It also comes with a powered side step to make ingress and egress easier in this tall off-roader. Front and rear dash cameras have been provided here for added safety. In addition to that, it also comes with all-weather floor mats. 

Jeep is also offering optional accessories with the Willys ‘41 Special Edition, such as a roof carrier with a side ladder and a sunrider rooftop. But do note that these are quite pricey and will set you back a whopping Rs 4.56 lakh.

Apart from that, the Jeep Wrangler Willys ‘41 Special Edition remains the same as the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, meaning it is as capable even when driving off-road. Its butch design grabs attention, while the cabin is functional with chunky knobs for important functions and a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system relaying all the important information. Jeep Wrangler: What Powers It? 

It gets a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 270 PS and 400 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler gets a full four-wheel drive system with locking front and rear differentials for incredible off-road performance. In addition to that, it also comes with a sway bar disconnect function, which basically allows for more suspension travel on uneven terrain.  

Jeep Wrangler: Rivals 

The Jeep Wrangler doesn’t have any direct rivals in its price range in India. However, you can consider it as a more affordable alternative to the Land Rover Defender and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
