Jaguar, the ultra-luxury carmaker has finally revealed the all new F-Type Coupe at the LA Motor Show. The company described the beast as the most dynamically capable, performance-based sports car that Jaguar has ever produced. Surprisingly, it is costlier than its Convertible sibling. It is available in three version- F-Type R, F-Type S and the F-Type.

The range topping F-Type R Coupe is powered by Jaguar's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out a massive 542.8bhp. It can accelerate to 60mph (close to 100kmph) in just 4 seconds, and attains a top speed of 290kmph (electronically limited). The other two models F-Type S Coupe and F-Type Coupe gets the 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engines that develops 374.8bhp and 335.8bhp respectively. While the S Coupe takes 4.8 seconds to cross 0-100kmph mark and attains a top speed of 275kmph, the entry level model sprints to 100kmph from standstill in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 260kmph.

The F-Type Coupe take its design cues from the stunning Jaguar C-X16 concept sports coupe that debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Its dramatic cabin-rearward stance being defined by three heartlines. The first two heartlines- shared with F-Type Convertible- form the muscular front and rear wings, the third being the sweeping Coupe roof profile.

The F-Type Coupe's body side is made from a single-piece aluminium pressing, which eliminates the requirement for multiple panels and cosmetic joints. The roof panel itself is available in either aluminium or panoramic glass form. A deployable rear spoiler sits within the tapered shut-line of the F-TYPE Coupe, while slim, wrap-around LED lamps flank a beautifully engineered tailgate, with optional powered open/close functionality.

The range-topping F-Type R Coupe features a bespoke suspension set-up and new dynamic technologies. These include a second generation Electronic Active Differential and torque vectoring for braking. The other two models also have the option of Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes. The engine comes mated to Jaguar's eight-speed close-ration Quickshift transmission which is optimised for sporting performance, with full manual sequential control from the central SportShift selector or steering wheel-mounted paddles.
