Hyundai Genesis might find its way to the Indian market
Highly acclaimed in several international markets, the luxury sedan, 2015 Hyundai Genesis might find its way to the Indian car market. The South Korean carmaker is likely to bring this sedan in limited numbers in India, and will arrive via CBU route. We can expect the all-new Genesis to be priced around Rs 45 lakh.

Globally, the Genesis is marketed with two engine options- a 3.8-litre V6 and a 5.0-litre V8 engine. The former one is capable of churning max power of 311bhp, while the latter churns 420bhp. Both these engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and features rear wheel drive. Although, the 3.8-litre variant is also available with an optional all-wheel drive mechanism. In terms of features, the luxury sedan certainly gets aesthetically high elements like a 9.2-inch high definition touchscreen interface and 17-speaker Lexicon audio system.
The luxury and elegance gets more enhanced with length measuring 4,990mm, which is slightly longer than Mercedes E-Class. As said it will be positioned in the luxury car segment, thus competing against already existing German sedans in the segment. But the fact that Hyundai India has not entered in the premium luxury segment till now, the brand's non-existence in the segment might make Indian buyer reluctant to spend that amount of money for a Hyundai tagged car.
