Honda Brio to be launched in India in October

Recent report in Indian auto market states that the Honda India is all set for the launch of its small car “Honda Brio” in India. Honda being the biggest player of small capacity engines all over the world and this time Honda intends to increase its share of cars in India with Honda Brio hatchback.  Honda Brio launch is expected to take place in the festive season in October and with this Honda Brio India marks yet another entry of Honda in the Indian automobile market after the launch of Honda Jazz two years back.

Earlier, Honda tried creating base in India with its Honda Jazz car but due to expensive price tag, thing didn’t work out in favor. Now with Honda Brio price expected to stay in between Rs4-5 lakh, this small car is perfect for Indian automobile market. As per reports this small car was earlier unveiled as a small car concept at the 2010 Auto Expo. Further, so as to avoid the excess of custom duty, Honda Brio is expected to come under 4-meter chassis.

As per official reports, Honda also announced that it will make the production speed normal, before the festive season. Furthermore, due to earthquake followed by tsunami in Japan, Honda faced shortage of spare parts and due to it Honda India had to work at 50% of its planned production volume.
