Giving a refreshing looks and compact appearance to 60 years old Ambassador, Hindustan Motors is going to unveil the compact version of sturdy & masculine Ambassador car later this year or at the Auto Expo in January 2012. This latest edition of Hindustan Motors Ambassador was spotted with significantly cropped boot space making it “Small Car”.

With length cropped down to 4-meter, this newest entry in the fleet of Hindustan Motors cars will be bestow with lower rate of excise duty. However, even after being truncated, the boot space is still capable of holding a CNG Cylinder and a few bags.
As per speculations, Hindustan Motors is going to add some minor tweaks in design and interiors of this new 4-meter Ambassador Car. And it could also come affixed with turbochargers for complying with the emission standards. Furthermore, this compact edition of Hindustan Motors Ambassador will also encompass a re-tuned version of the present 1.5 liter diesel motor. Since the changes are going to be made only in rear part, the front will remain the same.
As far as excise duty is concerned, Hindustan Motors might save approx. 30,000 INR from excise duty and it could be possible that generous amount of this saving reaches the customers.
As we know Hindustan Motors Ambassador has always been known for exhibiting strong and sturdy looks with excellent comfort. However, this new “Sub 4-meter” edition of Ambassador is expected to gain points over performance section also.
