While revealing the micro SUV’s technical details, the carmaker also shared its powertrain-wise claimed fuel efficiency figures.

Hyundai has provided the Exter with the same engine options as the Grand i10 Nios. It even gets the CNG option as seen on its hatchback sibling which offers the highest claimed mileage in its range of powertrains. Hyundai's 1.2-litre petrol engine is a well-refined unit that has been around for a long time now and is a plus point for the micro SUV.

The Exter’s deliveries are set to commence from July 11. Hyundai has priced its micro SUV from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 10.09 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India). The Exter goes up against the Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis while also taking on the Renault Kiger, Citroen C3 and Nissan Magnite.
