Chevrolet Beat Diesel launched in Jaipur
General Motors Indian launched its brand new Chevrolet Beat diesel hatchback in Jaipur yesterday. Chevrolet Beat diesel is said to be the most fuel efficient car in the entire country so far. It is also being said that Chevrolet Beat diesel is targeted to Indian consumers only and it is the best in the segment. This info was revealed by the President and Managing Director of General Motors India, Mr. Karl Slym.

He also said that the new Chevrolet Beat diesel has the best design and ultimate fuel efficiency. It is expected that this hatchback will set a new benchmark in the Indian car market. In spite of the downfall seen in the sales of the Indian car market since a past few months, General Motors India has launched Chevrolet Beat diesel and is set to launch 3 new car models in India. These 3 cars will include in hatchback, an SUV and a sedan. However, no official launch date has been given by General Motors India, but it is expected that GM India is planning to launch by the new cars by the end of 2012 along with brand new Chevrolet Tavera that would be launched by the end of this year or so. The new Chevrolet Tavera is basically the Euro IV variant.

These three cars that are expected to be launched in the year 2012 will be amongst the new cars that will be launched in 2012. Among these cars, some of the car models are likely to come from SAIC Motors villages, the Chinese business associate of GM India. The research and development team in Bangalore in cooperation with the designing team is working in full swing. Apart from this the company is also working on localization of their upcoming cars, which will suit the Indian conditions.
