The BS6 Marazzo gets a rejigged variant lineup that will see some lower variants get a bunch of new features

  • The Marazzo’s base M2 variant will get a price hike of Rs 1.01 lakh.

  • The M4 and M6 variants will be replaced by M4+ and M6+ variants.

  • The top-spec M8 variant will no longer be a part of the Marazzo’s variant list.

  • 1.5-litre diesel engine continues to churn out 121PS despite BS6 upgrades.

  • A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is on the cards as well.

  • It will continue to occupy the space between the Maruti XL6 and Toyota Innova Crysta.

It’s been a long time coming but the Marazzo is set to receive its BS6 update soon. The updated MPV is expected to start reaching showroom floors soon and a dealer partner has let us in on the prices of the updated MPV.

The Marazzo’s variant lineup has been rejigged with Mahindra replacing the M4 and M6 variants with M4+ and M6+ variants. The top-spec M8 variant will no longer be on offer while the base M2 variant will continue to be a part of the lineup. The prices of the BS6 variants are listed in the table below.

With the BS6 update, the base-spec Marazzo M2 variant seems to have received a price hike of Rs 1.01 lakh. Now is that price hike indicative of new features as well? Well, we are yet to receive an official confirmation of the same.

However, our dealer partner did reveal that the M4+ variant will get a Bluetooth music system and alloy wheels, something that was missing on the previous M4 variant.

An RTO document has revealed that the Marazzo’s 1.5-litre diesel engine continues to make the same 121PS as before despite the BS6 updaye. And like before, the Eco mode drops that figure to 100PS.

A petrol engine is also on the cards for the Marazzo. It will be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is expected to churn out around 160PS.

The BS6 Marazzo is likely to look the same as the BS4 model as we expect this to be mechanical update only. With this update, the Marazzo will continue to sit in the space between the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Toyota Innova Crysta.
