We are already more than halfway through 2025, and we have already had multiple new car launches until now. It’s not to say that the coming months don’t have any automotive action left. In fact, there are as many as seven new cars expected to go on sale by Diwali 2025 itself. Here’s the complete list:

    Renault Kiger Facelift

    Launch On: August 24, 2025

    Expected Price: Rs 6.20 lakh

The sub-4m SUV from Renault, the Kiger, is set to receive its first major refresh following its India launch back in early 2021. It is expected to get some cosmetic changes, including new front and rear bumpers, revised lighting setups, and maybe a fresh set of alloy wheels. The latest teaser also confirmed that it will get Renault’s new logo as seen on the facelifted Triber. We expect its cabin to have a fresh interior theme and possibly a revised seat upholstery as well.

Renault is likely to offer it with most of the same features including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger, and auto AC with rear vents. Its safety kit will likely include six airbags, a reversing camera with sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Expect it to come with the same set of 1-litre naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engine options with a range of manual and automatic gearbox choices.

    Maruti e Vitara

    Expected Launch: September 2025

    Expected Price: Rs 17 lakh

    Maruti e Vitara Exterior

It’s been a long wait for the first long-range EV from Maruti, namely the Maruti e Vitara, to go on sale following its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It features modern design elements in the form of all-LED lighting, aerodynamically designed 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, dual-tone black and tan cabin theme, and a 2-spoke steering wheel.

Confirmed amenities for the e Vitara SUV include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, up to seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). It will come with a single electric motor and two battery options (49 kWh and 61 kWh) having a total claimed range of over 500 km.

    Maruti Escudo

    Expected Launch Date: September 3

    Expected Price: Rs 9.7 lakh

Back in June 2025, it was reported that Maruti is planning to introduce a new made-for-India offering that will be slotted between the Maruti Brezza and Maruti Grand Vitara in its SUV lineup. It is expected to be based on Suzuki’s Global C platform, but could get a slightly tweaked layout with a longer wheelbase and more cabin space. It is expected to be retailed through Maruti’s Arena dealerships and not Nexa.

Expect it to have a similar exterior design as the Grand Vitara, while sporting a new dashboard layout to set the two SUVs apart. Features-wise, it could get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and possibly even ADAS. Maruti is expected to offer the new SUV with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech with manual and automatic gearbox options.

    Mahindra Thar Facelift

    Expected Launch: September 2025

    Expected Price: Rs 12 lakh

The Mahindra Thar 3-door has been on sale for five years now, and it has started getting a bit long in the tooth. To address this, the carmaker is developing the refreshed version of the SUV which has also been spied on test on some occasions. It’s expected to get mild cosmetic changes in the form of a revised fascia and grille as the Thar Roxx, updated lighting, and a new design for the alloy wheels.

Inside, its cabin could bear resemblance to that of the Thar Roxx, while featuring the same all-black theme as the current-spec model. Feature updates could include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch full-digital driver’s display, auto AC, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a TPMS. Mahindra is likely to offer the facelifted Thar with the same petrol and diesel engines as the present version, along with the same manual and automatic gearbox choices. Expect it to continue being available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and 4-wheel drive (4WD) setups.

Skoda has provided it with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation. The Octavia RS gets a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine developing a whopping 265 PS and 370 Nm, which is enough for it to sprint from nought to 100 kmph in  just 6.4 seconds. The power is transmitted via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT).
