#2015GenevaMotorShow: Ford showcase updates for EcoSport & new EcoSport S
Ford Motors, one of the leading American manufacturer at Geneva has announced that its affordable compact SUV EcoSport will be getting enhanced with variety of styling options, drive dynamics and equipment betterment choices. Along with this, people willing to buy an Ecosport without a rear mounted spare-wheel can also go for it now. However, for India there is no word from its Indian subsidiary.
This Ecosport’s interiors are accentuated by subtle improvements like restyled instrument cluster with chrome surround, light dimming function and chrome tips for window switches. For the first time SatNav technology and rear view camera will also be offered by the end of this year.
Core qualities are upped by improving the driving dynamics that comprises of suspension retuning with a revised rear twist beam, springs and damper rates for chassis optimisation. Moreover, a 10 mm reduction in ride height, optimised Electronic Stability Control and power steering system are also offered. There is a winter pack also on offer that includes heated windscreen, heated mirrors and heated front seats. There is also substantial use of sound deadening materials to lower the NVH levels.
EcoSport S
The Ecosport S was exhibited at Ford’s stall to give an insight into the upgrades and equipment that will be made available in this car's European line-up. It displayed a new Deep Impact Blue color on its skin backed by a black roof without any roof-rails, gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, sporty rear diffuser and privacy glass.
In the Indian context Ford India may bring an update or probably a facelift by the end of this year.
