Much has already been spoken about the SUV, which is going to further enhance the Safari lineage of our home grown auto manufacturer, Tata Motors. To refresh your memory regarding the basics, the SUV will fall in the Rs. 9- 12 Lakh range and will share the X2 platform with the Tata Aria. Under the hood it will be powered with a 2.2-litre 16 valve DiCOR engine that is capable of churning 138bhp of power and a torque of 320Nm. The powertrain will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and will come with 2WD as well as 4WD options.
With tweaks to the looks of the much loved, masculine looking Tata Safari and the powerful mill that will power it, Tata Safari Storme is expected to create a rage in this segment. With the successful Mahindra XUV500, Renault Duster and the likes already in the market, Storme will have to be perfect and not just good enough.
