Tata renders Safari Storme GS 800 SUV for the Indian Army

Before revealing the much awaited 2012 Tata Safari Storme in the Indian car market, the Indian auto giant Tata Motors has come up with the Tata Safari Storme GS 800 4X4 SUV, this GS 800 4X4 SUV car has been built specifically for the Indian Army for the purpose of transporting personnel both during war and peacetime. The Tata Safari Storme GS 800 4X4 will be equipped with an assembly of munitions so that it can hold up against the rough combat circumstances and inflexible and uncompromising terrain of the Indian sub-continent.

Tata Motors has designed Tata Safari Storme GS 800 4X4 SUV in-house strictly on the requirements and specifications provided by the Indian Army. On the road the Safari Storme GS 800 will look similar to the Safari Storme but will sport a sound internal armoring with enough body shell strength to resist high impacts of small artillery and bomb blasts. The heavy armoring adds to the weight of the car and in order to make the GS 800 on-road performance similar to the non-armored Safari Storme SUV, Tata Motors has upgraded many aspects of this SUV.

In order to maintain the on-road performance even with the tensions of excess weight of the armors, the essential elements like brakes and suspensions have been enhanced in the Safari Storme GS 800.For navigating through the rough Indian terrain the Tata Safari Storme GS 800 4X4 SUV has retained the four wheel drive system with low ratio. Tata Motors will not only supply the Safari Storme GS 800 to the Indian Armed Forces but will also supply the new SUV to the heads of state and top level VIPs as pilot vehicles. No announcement on the prices of the Tata Safari Storme GS 800 4X4 SUV have been made yet.
