Renault Koleos launched in Mumbai at Rs 24 lakh

Renault launched the premium version of Renault Koleos SUV in Mumbai today priced at Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). That launch was also the international premiere for the car. The launch in Mumbai is a step forward in Renault India's plans to introduce five cars India by the end of 2012. Renault made its stand alone debut in the India with the premium sedan Reanult Fluence in May. Len Curran, Vice President (Sales Marketing) at Renault India expressed his hopes by saying that the company is confident of selling good number of Renault Koleos in this festive season. Renault will first consolidate position in the premium segment and then to go in for volumes.

Originally Renault Koleos made its international debut in 2008 and being sold across five continents. This was the first face-lift since its launch which was displayed last week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Renault has also plans to expand its dealership network to 100 from the existing 14. Found to make a futuristic comment, Curran said that Renault is hoping to be among the top three brands by 2015. He indicated that Renault Modus will be launched in January next year. Curran also said on the sidelines of the launch of Renault Koleos in Mumbai that the company will unveil its mini SUV, Renault Duster by the middle of 2012 and a mid-size sedan by next year-end.

New Renault Koleos specifications include a whole lot of time to view. In a gist, Renault Koleos specifications include Cruise Control, a push button start, dual zone air conditioning and rear AC vents, all-wheel drive system. The Koleos also has a rich array of safety features which include ABS, EBD, six airbags, hill control and hill start assist, parking sensors, keyless entry. Features like Bose sound system enhance the entertainment quotient during long drives.
