Maruti Suzuki to Commence Deliveries of Vitara Brezza from March 25th

Deliveries of the much anticipated Vitara Brezza will start from March 25th, Maruti Suzuki said in a statement on Tuesday. The Indo-Japanese carmaker also announced over 20,000 bookings for the same to date.

Launched earlier this month, the Vitara Brezza is Maruti Suzuki’s first attempt in the competitive sub-4 metre compact SUV segment and competes against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300.

Announcing the start of retail sales, Executive Director (MSIL) R.S. Kalsi shared, “We are delighted at customers’ response to Vitara Brezza. They have appreciated it for its sporty and muscular design and the combination of features offered at multiple trim levels. Our endeavour now is to deliver these cars quickly so that customers can enjoy their Vitara Brezza.”

Unlike the last two offerings from the carmaker – Baleno and S-Cross, the Vitara Brezza will be sold through the regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships. “The vehicles will be retailed from the company’s 1,800 + sales outlets spread across India,” the company stated.

The Brezza is only available with the 89 Bhp 1.3-litre four-cylinder DDiS 200 diesel engine that already powers the Ciaz and the S-Cross. The choice for transmission is also limited to just a 5-speed manual gearbox. Available in 7 variants, including a range-topping variant with a dual-tone colour scheme, the Brezza offers class-leading fuel efficiency of 24.3 kmpl.
