Jaguar F-Type SVR Unveiled in Official Video

British automaker has released an official video detailing the upcoming SVR iteration of its globally coveted F-Type sportscar. The SVR edition will be placed over the current lineup of F-Types and will be offered in both convertible and coupe variants. Jaguar F-Type SVR will be showcased at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which is to be held next month. SVR happens to be the most powerful series production Jaguar till date.

As far as updates are concerned, on the outside- Jaguar F-Type SVR doesn't feature any drastic changes as compared to the standard sports car, but subtle updates can be spotted all over the car. The front bumper features what Jaguar likes to call the aerodynamic package and rest of the car features performance enhancing additions like the active rear wing made up of carbon fiber, anti-roll bar, uprated chassis, flat underfloor, wider tyres, carbon fibre roof panel, rear venturi and Inconel exhaust system.

Under the hood, the Jaguar F-Type SVR continues to be powered by the 5.0-litre V8 petrol unit, which one can also spot in the F-Type R and V8S variants. The powerplant however does come with certain tweaks and is capable of producing 575PS of power output as well as 700Nm of peak torque. F-Type SVR is 25 kgs lighter than the F-Type R sports car. The car is priced in the range of Rs. 87.16 lacs- 89.11 lacs. Jaguar has not made any statement about SVR coming to India anytime soon, whereas the bookings of the car are open in the international markets.
