Mahindra Reva e2o unveiled in Hyderabad
Mahindra Reva unveiled its electric, fully automatic car Mahindra e2o today in Hyderabad. The zero-emissions e2o is a product of Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd, a unit of the $16.9 billion Mahindra Group. The car is priced at Rs 5.59 lac ex-showroom Hyderabad for the premium variant which includes the FAME Demand Incentive by the government.

The Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme of the government provides incentives to hybrid and electric vehicles of all types from buses to two-wheelers in a range of Rs 1,800 to Rs 66 lac. The customers are supposed to pay Rs 2,999 for 5 years which is valid for 50,000 kms as a monthly e2o care protection plan.
Arvind Mathew, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Reva said "It is our humble effort to make electric vehicles more accessible and easy to use for our customers in this city. We will keep our innovation quotient high to create an entire ecosystem to sustain a clean and green environment for a better tomorrow,". He added that Central Government’s timely intervention through its FAME scheme has been a boost to the electric vehicle industry and has allowed for better and affordable electric cars. Without going into much detail, he also said that the company is selling about 100 e2o’s in a month.
