Toyota's New C Segment Car Vios Spied During Its Test Runs in Bangalore

We earlier reported that Toyota is planning to launch a new C- Segment car Vios and recent spied images from our friends at Team-Bhp suggests that the car is now been tested on Indian roads. A fully camouflaged test mule is spotted in Bangalore, Karnataka suggesting early arrival of the car. Toyota Vios if launched in India will fill the deep gap between Etios and Corolla Altis. Since the Vios will find its way in C segment it will thus competes with the likes of segment leader Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Though we are waiting for an official statement from the automaker as they are really quiet about their new debutant.

Vios also known as Yaris in some countries will be offered with the same engine options that does duty in Etios but tuned in a way to churn more horses. The petrol model will house the 1.5-litre engine while the diesel model will get the 1.4-litre D-4D motor. Globally, Vios is available with 5-speed manual along with 4-speed automatic transmission.

As most of the manufacturers are now gearing up for the upmarket C segment cars, Toyota too looks optimistic over its new approach. Maruti Suzuki has already launched its Sx4 replacement Ciaz last year in October.
