This Year Volkswagen group is aiming for double sales
Volkswagen, a name dazzling in luxury car markets, is planning big this time. The company is intending to double up its sales in India this year. The company made the bold statement recently which is certainly derived from the fact that India holds fastest growing automobile market. Apart from China, India is lined up with abysmal opportunities for automobile manufacturers and with this, Volkswagen wants to grab the best out of its exponential growth. Volkswagen holds most famous luxury cars in its portfolio, i.e. Volswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento.

Apart from China, India is lined up with abysmal opportunities for automobile manufacturers and with this, Volkswagen wants to grab the best out of its exponential growth. Volkswagen holds most famous luxury cars in its portfolio, i.e. Volswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento.
Volkswagen encircles three brand names which are Audi, Volkswagen and Skoda. And with these three names, it has all strategies to double the sales in Indian markets. Maik Stephan who is the managing director of Volkswagen Group Sales India in this regard said that last year company was able to reach 19,000 unit sales and this year they figure to multiply this figure to double. He agreed the fact that India is the best destination for automobile manufacturers as it is filled with unexplored opportunities. He also added that this market is nothing less than heaven for luxury cars as growing standard of living in India is triggering Luxury car demand here. Adding to their plans, he also said that the company will now increasing its dealerships round the country in order to avail widespread availability of their product.
The seriousness and dedication of the company towards this big target can be seen from their Rs 3,800 crore investment in Pune. This plant is made to produce Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Fabia. Whereas the wel established Aurangabad plant is designed to assemble Audi, Volkswagen and Skoda.
In this growing market, all major automobile manufacturers are in line to get their share of pie, thus we see that competition will also increase in Indian auto markets. This is the time when all companies are trimming down their shutdown period in order to clear their order backlogs.
