Update: Tata has showcased the entry level hatchback Zica at the 2016 Auto Expo that will take on other popular hatchbacks in the country including Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai i10. Audiences may not have to wait too long to get their hands on the newly launched hatchback with its release scheduled in two weeks. With company’s very own ConnectNext infotainment system, segment first 8 speaker system and alternatives for diesel and naturally aspirated motor, Tata Zica looks pretty strong to make a big impact. Check out the Auto Expo reveal, image gallery and more.

Tata’s all-new offering in the entry-level segment, Zica is all set to be launched on January 20. Zica is likely to be priced around Rs.4 lacs and will be taking on the likes of Maruti Celerio and the Hyundai i10.

Powering this hatch is a pair of brand new engines- a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine which in turn churns out 83 Bhp of power along with 114Nm of torque and a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine which produces 69 Bhp of power and 140Nm of torque. Both of these engines are 3 cylinder units and come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Zica also gets a very plush cabin with soft-touch materials used throughout the dash. The top-end variant of Zica will come equipped with dual front airbags, ABS, alloy wheels and a brilliant Harman sound system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity.
