Tata Sumo returns victorious from the 25th SJOBA Thunderbolt Sub Himalayan Rally
Tata Motors Full Throttle team has achieved yet another feat, rallying home to victory in the SJOBA Thunderbolt Sub Himalayan Rally 2012. Tata Motors took the honours with the new Tata Sumo Grande bagging first place, driven by Mr. Sunish Kumar and co-driver Mr. Dhiraj Arora, followed by Mr. Ganesh Moorthy and co-driver Mr. T. Nagrajan, winning second place in the newly launched Tata Sumo Gold. The 25th SJOBA Rally was flagged-off from St. Johns School, Chandigarh, on March 24, 2012. The rally commenced from Chandigarh and traversed through challenging and adventurous route, covering fast tarmacs with winding hair pins, unmetalled surfaces and exhilarating hilly terrain in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Passing through Gumma, Baldeyan, Theog, Tiyali, Kelti, Kamayana, Kiarighat, Kandaghat, Barog, Bhojnagar, Chakki Ka Mor, the vehicles were flagged-in Chandigarh on March 25, 2012. This is the second win for the Tata Motors Full Throttle team, this year. Prior to the SJOBA Rally, the team won the 10th edition of India’s longest and one of the toughest off-roading events, the Desert Storm 2012 Rally.
