Renault Duster AWD coming on 24th September!
New Renault Duster AWD with major mechanical upgrade is coming on 24th September. It will be competing with the Tata Safari Storme 4x4 and Mahindra Scorpio 4X4. Apart from upgraded chassis with 4x4, AWD version gets soft-touch dash, a new multi-function steering wheel, premium three-pot instrumentation cluster and sporty burnt red fabric upholstery. Exteriors of the new Duster get all-around AWD badging along with similar Duster Adventure treatment.

Renault Duster AWD System
- Renault Duster AWD features a shift-on-fly four-wheel-drive system, Renault calls this electronically controlled 4WD system as 'iDrive technology.'
- The Duster AWD features ESP – Electronic Stability Control and ASR – Anti Slip Regulation which helps tackling various terrains.
- Duster AWD also comes with hill hold assistance which helps in climbing gradients with ease.
- The AWD version also features independent multi-link suspension for refined ride and handling both on tarmac and off-roading.
- Duster's AWD system sports three modes – 2WD, Auto and 4WD Lock. The 4WD auto modes works up-to 60km/h then it automatically shifts to Auto mode, Auto mode then intelligently shares the power between the two axles.
- The ground clearance of Duster has been increase by 5mm, now its 210mm compared to 205mm of the current front-wheel-drive Duster. The water wading capacity of Duster is up to 400mm.
- AWD Duster also adds cruise controls which was missing in the compact SUV.
- Renault Duster AWD also comes with class leading fuel efficiency of 19.72km/l.

Renault Duster AWD gets only the 110PS version of the 1.5 K9K dCi, the motor featuring variable-geometry turbo with inter-cooler generates a healthy 108.5bhp of max power at 3900rpm and a peak torque of 248Nm that comes at 2250rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and powers all the four wheels.
