Mitsubishi to increase its footprints in emerging auto markets

The new emerging auto markets are gaining momentum after showcasing a premium performance in the last decade. These auto markets on one hand are attracting global auto manufacturers and the already established ones are making various developments to sustain the gained momentum in the auto markets. To take the advantage of the upsurge in the emerging auto market Mitsubishi Motors is gearing up to ramp-up the manufacturing of its cars in India and Brazil. The company also hopes to organize its automobiles for Japanese, European and United European auto markets.

The Japanese auto motors is visualizing to uplift the global manufacturing to 1.5 million cars and raise it to 50 per cent by resource redistribution process.

Mitsubishi Motors will halt the manufacturing of it North American car models and will utilize the same to raise the output of its car models such as Mitsubishi Outlander, the market winner SUV, rolled out in Indian, United States and various other auto markets globally. It is also being heard that the Japanese auto giant wishes to commence the car manufacturing with an local partner from the country. Mitsubishi Motors is in conversation with the French luxury car makers PSA Peugeot Citroen for joint venture for its Indian arm. The Japanese auto giant Mitsubishi Motors is also planning to manufacture low priced mini cars with its global partner Nissan Motor Company.

It is being known that Mitsubishi European hatchback Mitsubishi Colt will be shelved and with that few other models will face a reduced production or production halt in its plant. Mitsubishi also plans to invest in the growing auto market such as Brazil to increase its local production.
