You might remember that MG Motor and Tata Power recently joined hands to set up superfast charging stations across the country. After installing a 50kW one in Nagpur recently, the tie-up has now led to Agra getting its first 60kW DC superfast charging station.

The charging station has been set up at one of the MG dealerships in Agra as part of MG’s #NHforEV2020 campaign. It is put up for public use and caters to all electric vehicles that conform with CCS/CHAdeMO fast-charging standards. Aside from this one, MG has a total of 10 50kW superfast charging stations installed at its dealerships in New Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

MG’s sole electric vehicle for the Indian market is the ZS EV. It packs in a 44.5kWh battery pack that powers an electric motor rated at 143PS and 353Nm. The ZS EV offers a range of 340km on a single charge in the real-world scenarios. MG retails the electric SUV in two variants: Excite and Exclusive, priced at Rs 20.88 lakh and Rs 23.58 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Besides the MG ZS EV, models such as the Tata Nexon EV and Hyundai Kona Electric have also been steadily becoming popular and are likely to witness more growth in the coming years.
