    Maruti's Alto to compete with Nano

    Maruti Suzuki is thinking over to compete with Tata's Nano. It is informed by reliable sources that the company will launch two new variants of Alto. The new Alto will have a stripped down version to take on Tata's compact car Nano and an up market variant which will come loaded with the new KB series engine to compete with Hyundai's Santro, GM’s Spark and other micro cars in the market. In addition to this, Maruti will also roll out Swift's new design and new petrol engine. The Maruti WagonR and the Versa will also have facelifted versions.

    Maruti Suzuki is thinking over to compete with Tata's Nano. It is informed by reliable sources that the company will launch two new variants of Alto. In the same way, the company is to alter the Maruti 800 and the Omni's engines with new KB series. Speaking about the new events slated in the auto majors list of priorities, Maruti Suzuki MD & CEO S Nakanishi said that they  had exhausted their quota of new cars with eight new launches in India in the past three years. The company is looking at strengthening leadership by refreshing their old portfolio. Maruti Suzuki has developed the new KB series petrol engines with an investment of Rs 1,200 crore. This engine will be strapped in several of these cars.
