Maruti SX4 diesel launch to be held in February

The new model has been designed to give better performance and superior economy which has been the forte of Maruti Suzuki. In order to achieve this, the new Maruti SX4 diesel has been desinged 70 Kg lighter in weight. The all new Maruti SX4 diesel will give a tough competetion to all the major rivals in the market.

Maruti SX4 diesel in Europe market is loaded with 1.9 litre engine which ahs been taken from Fiat. However the Indian version is expected to be powered with 1.3 Multi-jet engine. Other models of Maruti Suzuki like Maruti Swift, and Maruti Swift Dzire are loaded with the same engine along with a VGT (variable geometry Turbo).

Volkswagen Vento which is another diesel powered mid size saloon is going to give tough competition to the new kid on the block. Along with the good cost advantage , Maruti Suzuki will have to adapt a smart makeketing strategy to thrive in the mid sized saloon diesel engine market.

As per the company's officials, the model will be able to enter the mid sized saloon diesel engine market with undercut of Rs. 1 lakh against the market leader Volkswagen Vento. The priceof the new Maruti SX4 Diesel may range from Rs 6.99 Lakh or 10,000 more than its petrol variant.
