Maruti Suzuki Retails 1,14,756 units in June 2015

India’s largest passenger car retailer Maruti Suzuki sold 1,14,756 units in June 2015. The company witnessed a growth of 1.8 per cent as last year in the same month, the automaker sold 112,773 units. The total sale of  1,14,756 units in June 2015 also includes 12,130 units in exports.

With this, the company also finished the first quarter by retailing 341,329 units which corresponds to a growth of 13.8 per cent.  In the entry level car segment which includes Alto, WagonR, the carmaker sold 34,336 units this month compared to 47,618 units in the same month last year. 

The compact segment which includes Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Dzire is the most sold segment for the automaker, as it contributes to the total figure by 45,701 units while in June 2014, it was 36,741 units thus posting a growth of 24.4 per cent. In the Mid-Size segment, which include Ciaz and SX4 (discontinued but under stock clearance), the company sold 3700 units compared to just 322 units last year in June. 

In the utility segment which includes Gypsy, Grand Vitara and Ertiga, the carmaker retailed  5,531 units while Eco and Omni together contributed 10,465 units.

Recently, as the launch nears, the company has also gone live with the microsite of Maruti Suzuki S Cross which was unveiled at the IIFA awards 2015.
