Maruti Celerio Diesel Spied Once Again; Likely to Launch in a Couple of Weeks
Get ready for another Maruti’s crème de la crème as the carmaker is about to launch its Celerio diesel model in the market very soon. The car’s spypics have been floating on the internet for quite sometime and till date, about 8 different colors of the car have been spotted. That simply directs our mind towards our nearby showrooms as the launch seems to be imminent, say a couple of weeks from now.

Although, official date has yet to be announced, but according to grapevines, the first week of May is considered to be the launch period. Well, coming to the latest spyshot, bunch of hundreds of Blue color Celerios have been caught on camera and if we zoom a little bit, the ZDi logo can be seen at the back. That means the car will come with a homemade 793cc engine that can belt out power between 52-58bhp and torque around 150Nm. The engine will come mated to five-speed manual transmission.
And if you have forgot, we would like to remind you that the car is set to become THE MOST FUEL EFFICIENT CAR IN INDIA. Yes you got it right, the car is expected to return mileage figure around 30kmpl, which no other car has delivered so far. Also, Maruti could release a diesel AMT version later on, to instigate a brand new enmity among its peers.
As per the pricing, we hope company might place it in the bracket of INR 4.8-5.8 lacs. If it becomes successful, it will surely pave way for other diesel cars like Wagon R, which is on the launch cards of the company.
