Mahindra Has Delivered 6300 Units Of BE 6 And XEV 9e In Just Over A Month

Mahindra has so far been delivering only the top Pack 3 variants of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, with deliveries of the one-below-top Pack 3 Select variants scheduled to begin next month
Mahindra has taken to its social media handle to announce yet another milestone for its electric SUVs – the BE 6 and XEV 9e. The Indian auto giant has collectively delivered 6,300 units of the two models. This achievement has come in just over a month, as deliveries commenced from March onwards.

As per Mahindra’s last announcement, the XEV 9e has garnered more demand, accounting for 59 percent, while the BE 6 accounts for 41 percent. Owing to their popularity, the waiting period for both cars extends up to six months. Here’s a brief overview of both the EVs.
Mahindra XEV 9e Overview
The Mahindra XEV 9e is a premium electric SUV coupe. It is offered in four variants: Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select and Pack Three. As per Mahindra , the XEV 9e has been more in demand and has made its way into celebrity garages, including those of A.R. Rahman, Anurag Kashyap, and Kubbra Sait.
It gets three 12.3-inch displays for infotainment, instrument cluster as well as passenger entertainment. It also gets features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless phone chargers, a panoramic glass roof with illumination, dual-zone climate control, a powered driver’s seat with memory setting and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
For safety, it gets seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake with auto hold and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features.
Mahindra BE 6 Overview
The Mahindra BE 6 sports a very distinctive look for an Indian SUV. With a quirky and unique design, it is offered in five variants: Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.
In its fighter jet cockpit-like cabin, it is equipped with dual 12.3-inch digital displays for infotainment and instrumentation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone auto-AC, a panoramic sunroof with illumination, dual wireless phone chargers,a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, keyless entry and an augmented reality-based heads-up display.
Its safety features include 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Powertrain
Both the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e are offered with two battery pack options and feature a rear-wheel-drive setup. Their detailed specifications are listed below.

The BE 6 competes with the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and will also take on the upcoming Maruti e Vitara. The XEV 9e, on the other hand, can be considered as an alternative to the BYD Atto 3 and the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.
