    Mahindra BE 07 Spied

Mahindra's next born-electric SUV, the BE 07, has been spied yet again testing on the Indian roads, and this round of spy shots settles a question that's been floating around for a while. The production cabin will get a triple-screen dashboard, the same tech-forward layout Mahindra already uses on its premium EVs.

Here's everything the new mule gives away about the upcoming family SUV:

    Triple-Screen Confirmed

These are the sharpest shots we've had of the BE 07's cabin so far, and the headline news is the three-screen setup running across the dashboard.

It mirrors what you'll find in the Mahindra XEV 9e & the XEV 9S: a fully digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen for infotainment, and a separate screen just for the front passenger.

That third screen means the co-driver can pull up navigation or media without touching the driver's display; no need to lean over or fiddle with someone else's settings mid-drive.

The rest of the cabin follows the same futuristic, clutter-free brief. A floating centre console frees up floor space underneath. Mahindra's calling this design language 'Electric Origin', the idea being a minimalist, function-first interior across its whole upcoming EV range.

Exterior Looks More Practical Than The BE 6

Where the BE 6 leans into coupe-SUV styling, the BE 07 goes the other way, a more upright, conventional SUV shape.

The test mule was wrapped in heavy camouflage, but the silhouette gives it away: boxier, taller, and clearly built with practicality in mind rather than swoopy lines. That extra height should translate into more rear headroom, and the tail, less tapered than the BE 6's, hints at a bigger boot too.

Even under the wrap, a few production details are visible. The door handles are flush-fitting and pop out on approach, and the doors themselves are frameless, both of which help keep the surfacing clean and the aerodynamics tidy. Large, aero-tuned alloys fill out the wheel arches. Round back, there's a roof-mounted spoiler with an integrated wiper, a clamshell tailgate, and a generously sized rear quarter glass that should make the cabin feel airier than expected.

Expect Mahindra's now-familiar C-shaped LED DRLs and tail lamps too, carried over from its other electric models.

    Expected Features And Safety

Mahindra looks set to load the BE 07 with a long list of comfort, convenience, and safety kit.

The brand is clearly positioning this as a feature-heavy entrant in the premium electric SUV space, and the dashboard is just the start of it. Here's what's expected to make the cut:

Comfort and convenience: A fixed panoramic glass roof, powered and ventilated front seats with memory function, dual-zone climate control, and multi-colour ambient lighting. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, twin wireless charging pads, a Harman Kardon sound system, and full connected-car functionality round things out.

Driver aids and safety: A head-up display, a 360-degree camera for parking, and Level-2 ADAS, i.e. adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking. A powered tailgate is also on the list.

    Expected Battery Pack And Range

The BE 07 will sit on Mahindra's INGLO electric platform, the same modular architecture underneath the BE 6, XEV 9e and the XEV 9S, which is designed to flex across different battery sizes and drivetrain configurations.

Two battery pack options could be on the cards: a 59 kWh version and the larger 79 kWh one, with the latter claimed to clear the 600 km mark. If that holds up, it'd put the BE 07 among the longest-range EVs sold in India.

Mahindra is also expected to offer both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants. The RWD setup would likely be tuned for efficiency and maximum range, while the AWD version adds performance and better traction when conditions get tricky.

    Expected Launch, Price And Rivals

We expect a 2027 global debut for the BE 07, marking the next step in its Electric Origin lineup.

Pricing is expected to start around Rs 29 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variants, climbing from there for the bigger battery and AWD combinations. Once it arrives, the BE 07 will land in one of the most contested corners of India's EV market.

On the domestic front, it'll go up against the Tata Harrier EV and the upcoming MG Hector Hawk EV, which are the ideal competition considering its size. The lower variants can also go up against the Tata Sierra EV, the BYD Atto 3, the VinFast VF7 and also the Hyundai Creta Electric.

    CarDekho Says…

A confirmed triple-screen setup paired with a more practical SUV body could make this one of the more compelling options for buyers hunting for a tech-loaded family EV.

What we're seeing here is a triple-screen interior wrapped in a conventional, no-nonsense SUV body, a combination clearly built for buyers who want cutting-edge tech without giving up rear-seat room or boot space. The bigger battery pack is rated for over 500 km of real-world range, and if Mahindra gets the pricing right, the BE 07 could end up being one of the stronger picks in India's premium electric SUV space when it finally lands.
