The world’s fastest one-make race series, which started in 2009, made its Asian debut at the Sepang International Circuit at Malaysia in May 2012. And now, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, made its second stop at the Fuji International Speedway in Oyama, Japan. The next stop in Asia is Ordos followed by Guangzhou China then Penbay in Taiwan and the finale will be at Shanghai in China in November. The race will also have race weekends at selected circuits around the world which will include Monza Circuit Italy, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Silverstone Circuit UK, Nürburgring Germany, Paul Ricard HTTT in France and Navarra in Spain.

The Super Trofeo Championship is an exclusive platform for Gentlemen drivers who can enter either as individuals or in teams of two. The two categories are pure-amateurs and pro-amateurs. The race is one of a challenging race because these vehicles are amongst the fastest sports cars in the world. Commenting on the Fuji track, the Head of Super Trofeo Asia Series, Cristiano Inverni said that the track of Fuji was a real challenge for drivers since it has uphill and downhill turns as well as is very long. On the other hand, the Vice President and Head of Marketing for Blancpain, Alain Delamuraz was delighted to be in Japan on the sensational Fuji race track. For the drivers, where on one hand the Sepang track was a test of endurance, the Fuji track, especially because of the rains required skill on technical handling.
