Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce makes public appearance

Lamborghini Aventador’s mad brother made its appearance at Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The latest iteration of the flagship model, the LP 750-4 Superveloce was presented at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The charismatic 6.5 litre V12 engine develops 750bhp of maximum power and the car is lighter by 50 kilograms than earlier. Technicians have used additional lightweight materials such as forged aluminium (rims) and carbon fibre (bodywork and interior).

To further slice through air, aerodynamic efficiency on the LP 750-4 has been optimized by 150 percent and down-force has been increased by more than 170 percent over the standard Aventador. These upgrades help the LP 750-4 to sprint from 0-100kmph in 2.8 seconds while the top speed is claimed in excess of 350kmph. Enhancing the handling quotient, the car features an adaptive magneto-rheological suspension as well as the electromechanical Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS).

"The reception this vehicle received at its North American debut at the Amelia Island Concours this weekend matches the level of enthusiasm we saw from the global audience in Geneva," said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO, Automobili Lamborghini. "The Aventador Superveloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and driving emotion and we were excited to see the positive reaction from our American audience."

The Superveloce is the new pinnacle of Lamborghini's flagship Aventador model range. Its engineers and designers sought to create the fastest and most emotional Lamborghini driving experience yet, thanks to an improved power-to-weight ratio, increased aerodynamic performance, improved drivability and a track-focused aesthetic. The pricing for all this performance is in excess of Rs 3.07 crore (excluding customs and duties), and will be made available from this summer.
