The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV has been launched as the Korean carmaker’s most affordable EV. It is a seven-seater MPV sibling to the Hyundai Creta Electric SUV, both sharing a similar price range, identical battery options and specifications. So at a price range of under Rs 25 lakh, should you choose the electric MPV over the eSUV? Let’s find out.

As seen above, the Carens Clavis EV and Creta Electric share the same price for their entry-level variants; however, the fully loaded Creta Electric is Rs 11,000 more affordable than the Kia MPV.

The Carens Clavis electric MPV is larger than the Creta Electric SUV in all aspects and has a longer wheelbase to accommodate a third row of seating. While both the EVs have a nearly similar frunk storage capacity, the Creta Electric being a 5-seater, has a significantly larger boot space compared to the Kia MPV. However, that can be opened up to a much larger capacity with the two rows folded.

Since the Kia Carens Clavis EV and Hyundai Creta Electric has the same specifications and almost the same features, choosing between the two should depend more on your usecase. If you’re looking for a spacious car for long family trims with flexible seating for up to seven people, the Carens Clavis EV will better suit your needs.

On the other hand, if you prefer a compact SUV that’s easier to handle in city traffic and comes loaded with features and a bigger boot space, the Creta Electric might feel like the better everyday companion.
