Indica Vista sales spurt in September
Tata Indica and Tata Indica Vista have garnered dandy sales in September. As large as 10,282 customers received the keys for Tata Indica and Indica Vista taking the growth rate of combined sales to 43%, a spurt last seen in January and February this year. Car experts suggest that new Tata Vista is a good option for hatchback buyers who are not very patient about adept Maruti Swift which is supposed to be delivered after 8-10 months. With huge improvements done over the older version of Tata Indica Vista, the new variant is by far the cheapest option at least for diesel hatchback segment.

The diesel engined Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet VX priced at Rs 5.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) shares all specifications including engine with Maruti Swift counterpart. Maruti Swift VDI BSIV is priced at Rs 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and even misses on some important features like CD player and ABS (Anti Lock braking System). The new Vista has also been vastly improved in terms of overall quality as well as ride and handling. Not just this, all the variants of Tata Indica Vista are cheaper than the Maruti Swift variants by about Rs. 40,000.

Recently only, Tata Motors introduced the refreshed Indica Vista which had better interiors, minor exterior changes including headlamps borrowed from the Tata Manza and advanced tail lamps. While the regular Indica being seen more as a taxi car rather than a personal car, the Tata Indica Vista is trying to appeal to personal car buyers.
