    Indian GP all set for start

    The preparations for the first Indian Grand Prix Formula 1 race slated to take place on October 30th are in full swing. The fun-filled event is just around the corner and the entire nation is eagerly anticipating to cheer the fast approaching event. This weekend is believed to bring a new outlook to car racing in India Not just media channels and F1 fans even eminent personalities will honour the event with their presence. A majority of crowd is expected to encourage Narain Karthikeyan, the only contestant from India to take part in the home hosted international racing event. However, the only disappointment is the expulsion of Karun Chandok from the team Lotus of Tony Fernandes. Not just Karun Chandok himself, but his fans as well are unable to come in terms with the recent setback.

    The elite sports personalities like Sania Mirza, Jeev Milkha Singh, Baichung Bhutia, Arjun Halappa and Tushar Khandekar are said to be the part of the audience irrespective of their sports stream with the sole intention to see the nation win the grand title for the first time. Meanwhile, the car manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz India, Renault and Ferrari are planning to leverage the situation by promoting the car sales. Mercedes Benz finds the timing ideal to topple BMW in the luxury car segment targeting the Indian youth as the potential consumers through participating in the race with its sports car model. Ferrari is making its debut in the country launching its prototype models, racetrack drives for buyers and virtual games for the interested crowd to gain popularity in India. The sports car manufacturer is envisaging setting up racing schools in the country to encourage the sport. Ferrari is not the only car manufacturer eyeing to establish its presence in the country, Tony Fernandes owned Caterham Motors is also reported to share similar ideas though upcoming F1 race.
