Honda Brio Amaze will Come With a Very Aggressive Price
It's no secret that Honda has been struggling in the Indian car market due to the lack of a diesel option in its fairly impressive petrol line-up of cars. And while Honda is not unaware of this fact, they have only recently decided to jump the diesel bandwagon and the prototype for this will be the Brio based Honda Amaze sedan. And to this effect, Honda plans to price the Amaze very aggressively as a direct competition for Maruti Suzuki Dzire.

Honda India's senior VP, Jnaneswar Sen confirmed this fact in a statement where he stated, "We plan to launch the diesel car at a very aggressive price that would require high level of localisation in the Indian market. We have finalised plans to set up a diesel engine plant at Tapukara in Rajasthan by next year but the finer details regarding capacity and investments are yet to be worked out."
Honda plans to launch the Amaze with the 1.5-litre diesel engine that will be built specifically for the diesel refinement levels in India. And Honda planning to open a plant in Tapukara, the pricing will certainly be aggressive thanks to exceeding localisation. What remains to be seen now is if the new Honda Amaze can give the Maruti Dzire and the Tata Indigo a run for their money.
