Happy Birthday Amaze!!!
Happy Birth day to Honda's baby sedan – Honda Amaze. Honda had launched Amaze on April 11 exactly a year back. Its been a complete joy ride for the Japanese manufacturer, numerous milestone achieved with the Amaze in the entire last year. Thanks to the blistering success of Amaze and with new City in diesel coming to the party, Honda has raced close to the no 3 position in the Indian car maket after Maruti and Hyundai. The car that marked Honda in the diesel arena in this country and its success provided grounds for the diesel City – is definitely among the most successful player the Honda India line-up yet.
“Ordinary is out – Amazing is in”
Just after the launch, the waiting period of the sub-4m sedan rose to 3-4 months and the company record more than 10,000 bookings for the Amaze in short span of time. This was the first time experience for the company with any of the product– even the City. The car outshined its most closest rival Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire in terms of the response the car got in initial weeks of launch. Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), recorded growth of 156% during July 2013 , they sold 11,223 units as against 4,386 units in 2012 – oh boy all thanks to Amaze! The company recently opened their second manufacturing plant in Rajasthan, they have one in Greater Noida – the first vehicle that rolled out of the new plant was indeed Amaze. The third iteration of Brio is the Mobilio MPV which will enter later this year – we hope it repeats the history. Honda certainly on the roll!
