General Motors coming with new and more

General Motors, the US-based car marvel is best known for its craftsmenship, advanced technology and style. The company owns the best selling models in almost all the segments Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Aveo U VA, Chevrolet Optra and Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Travera. With such major chunk in almost every car segment GM's growth signifies win win over the market.

But now the US-based car brand plans to grow more and use the Indian market in its favour. The company has extensive plans to spread in the Indian auto industry. From the sources it is being heard that, GM is planning in the next 24 months to launch six new models. The Indian market have given a great boost to the sale of the company and the US-based brand wishes to maintain the momentum by coming up with new products.

GM also has few other reasons to celebrate other than the sales, the company completed successful 100 years of operations globally. The company recently organized a Chevrolet Vintage car rally and has also announced awards for the music excellence for the Indian music celebs and has made Asha Bohsle the Goodwill Ambassador for the awards.

Sumit Sawhney, the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing of General Motors India revealed that, the company is delighted with the progress, Indian auto sector is promising and being the major players in the market and the company owns products in all the segment. Still, GM feels they have a white space which is to be covered. The company plans to launch a new product soon in the coming 18 months.

GM also have plans to manufacture a passenger carrier and one goods carrier at the Holal facility in Gujarat which is the production of all its products except Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Spark.

GM in the league of expanding itself in the Indian auto market, is also likely to join hands with Japanese auto giant Suzuki. Together the companies wish to make cars and design engine. GM wants to compete in the small car segment which Suzuki has the expertise in and Suzuki wants to bring the technology of US-based car manufacturer as Maruti Suzuki India has the limitation in this division. Though, it is not officially not out but soon an announcement can be heard from either side by next year. The Company also plans to expand in dealerships and wants to reach to its customers more.
