Ford Dealers Installing Start-Stop and Security Systems in Figo?

Ford Dealers across India are now offering a retrofitted start-stop and security system for the company's flagship hatchback Figo, a report published on CarWale says. The said Start-stop mechanism and the vehicle tracking system can be fitted on any Figo variant except the base model. To get these fitted in the car, Figo owners will have to pay a sum of Rs 30,000.

The vehicle tracking system is able to remotely shut down the car in three stages- it first switches off the electronics completely, then in the second stage car's Radio is on and then all the electronics in the car are on in the final stage. The report further says that both the start-stop and vehicle tracking systems are offered in one package, so they cannot be fitted separately.

After the system gets installed, the driver has to press the brake to start the vehicle instead of the clutch. However, the system doesn't indicate whether the electronic key has been removed from the car. So if you are one of the Ford Figo owners, and want the start-stop and security system in your car, you can ask the nearest dealership for the same.
