Bentley Bentayga to Be Launched in India Tomorrow
Bentley Bentayga, whose makers claim it to be “the fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world”, is launching in India tomorrow. This world-class SUV represents the pinnacle of luxury in an offroader.
Remaining true to the Bentley DNA, this car, along with being luxurious and premium, packs a powerful 600bhp punch. Expect the price to be somewhere around INR 3.8 crores for the base variant and up to INR 5 crores for the top variant.
The first, top-of-the-line Bentayga was reserved for the Queen of England. It features a signature Bentley grille with double-barrel headlamps on either side. The Bentayga has been given an option of 20 or 22-inch alloy wheels to ride on, and a panoramic glass roof on top. Between the two lie plush leather seats with contrast stitching and handcrafted wood on the dashboard and panels.
For passenger comfort, the SUV has 22- and 18-way adjustable front and rear seats with heating, ventilation and massage system. Further, for entertainment, the car has an 8-inch touchscreen system that supports thirty languages and has 60 GB storage. If you are a rear-seat occupant, you get a 10.2-inch Android tablet with 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Bentayga reaches a top speed of 301kmph, with a standstill-to-100kmph time of just 4.1 seconds. This is faster than the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S which only manages a top speed of 283.24kmph. These performance figures are courtesy the 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine which produces 600bhp and a generous amount of torque (900Nm).
This SUV will cater to those with really deep pockets and will remain largely exclusive in the country.
