Audi SQ5 to be showcased at 2014 Auto Expo

The German luxury carmaker, Audi is gearing up to make the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo a remarkable one. It will unveil a series of products including much-awaited A3 sedan, RS7, R8 V10 Plus Spyder, R18 e-tron Quattro and sporty SQ5. Yes, the company will present its range topping sportier version of the Q5, called the SQ5.

Internationally, the Audi SQ5 is available in both petrol and diesel version- a 3.0-litre TFSI and a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine. Considering the growing demand for oil burners in India, the company is likely to showcase the diesel powered SQ5. The 3.0-litre TDI engine is mated to the 8-speed tiptronic transmission. This model churns out a maximum power output of 313bhp and 650Nm of top torque. The SQ5 accelerates to 100kmph from stand still in just 5.1 seconds and attains a top speed of 250kmph.

The highlight of the show will be the A3 premium sedan, which will open a new segment in the luxury car market of India. It will be made available in both petrol and diesel guise- a 1.8-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Both engines come mated to the Audi's S-tronic dual-clutch transmission.
