It was first the Japanese automakers who were badly hit by a 9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that rocked the land of the rising sun in March this year. Now, the tremors are being felt by other car makers such as American automobile giant Ford Motors. According to news sources, the Ford Motor Company will halt production at its plants in Taiwan and China out of the 13 plants in Asia-Pacific region and 8 assembly plants in Australia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Philippines and China following acute shortage of car parts made in Japan.
